Job Posting for Youth & Family Specialist at Riverside Family Support

A local educational agency is seeking an experienced youth & family specialist to work with families in their homes. The primary responsibilities of this position would be focusing on biological reunification with families and supporting families with parent education, foster care prevention, mentoring for children, and supervised visitation. The right candidate will be motivated, autonomous, passionate, culturally competent, and trauma-informed.

The position can be full-time or part-time. Flexible hours are available.

Candidate needs to be available Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of direct educational or social work experience working with children/adolescents and adults.
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health-related field such as Education, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.
  • An understanding of the NASW Code of Ethics with a strong moral compass and professional boundaries.
  • Preferred experience in previous positions relevant to child welfare, mental health skill-building, or intensive in-home services.
  • Due to travel requirements, the applicant must have a valid driving license, insurance, and a good driving record.
  • Must be committed to working with parents and children in their homes.
  • Time management skills and self-discipline to support families in the community without micromanagement.
  • Availability in the afternoon and evenings.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
