Job Description:
As a Bakery Clerk at Red X, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive outstanding service and have access to our freshly baked goods. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks throughout the bakery, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting bakery items.
- Provide product information, recommendations, and suggestions to customers.
- Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Food Preparation and Display:
- Assist with the preparation and baking of bread, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items.
- Package, label, and display bakery products in an attractive and appetizing manner.
- Ensure products are rotated and restocked to maintain freshness and availability.
- Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery area, including equipment, countertops, and display cases.
- Adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with regular cleaning tasks and end-of-day cleanup to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with placing orders for bakery supplies as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with reconciling discrepancies.
- Properly store and handle incoming deliveries to ensure freshness and quality.
- Physical Requirements:
- Work in freezers and coolers to retrieve bakery products as necessary.
- Lift and move boxes of bakery supplies weighing up to [insert weight] above shoulders and at times above head.
