Overview:
The Dietary Aide, under general direction of the Dietary Supervisor, is responsible for a variety of tasks relating, but not limited to, safe food and beverage handling, proper sanitation and proper cooking techniques for a skilled nursing community in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the Company and state or federal regulation or law.
Responsibilities:
- Performs proper setting of trays and tables; serves resident meals in the dining room and delivers trays to resident's rooms
- Performs dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assures that utensils, plates, cups, etc. are readily available for next meal
- Follows safety regulations and precautions at all times
- Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service preferred
- Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred
- Must possess outstanding communication skills and be able to follow oral and written instructions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Stooping, bending, lifting, carrying, and other physical demands may be required. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
