POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for direct clinical care including assessments, medication management, medication administration, treatment planning and coordination of care for consumers with mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Provides education on medication, wellness and health issues to consumers, providers, family members and staff. Applies culturally competent recovery based practices, trauma informed culture of safety.
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Nursing.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: Three or more years’ experience as a nurse working with individuals with mental illness, substance use, intellectual or developmental disabilities. Requires excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Must be punctual, organized, have the ability to multi-task, and work independently.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: Licensed by the Michigan Department of Commerce or Professional Regulation as a Nurse Practitioner, prefer Board Certification.
