Communications Media Fleet Operations Manager

Rivian is seeking an organized, strategic-thinking member of the Product Communications Team who will be responsible for overseeing the management and operations of our expansive fleet of vehicles for media, content creators, celebrities, influencers and VIPs. You will have strong organizational and judgment skills with excitement for the automotive industry, program management skills with complex workflows, the ability to establish programmatic approaches, and awareness of the media landscape.
You will be passionate about Rivian, sustainability, climate, an excellent problem solver and strategic thinker, a fast learner and able to focus on the details. To be successful in this role, you must thrive in fast paced, ambiguous and unexpected environments, tackling all challenges with a flexible and solution-oriented mindset. You will know how to remove blockers and work cross-functionally to achieve alignment among internal stakeholders. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Product Communications and work closely with comms team members across the organization to loan vehicles and arrange demonstrations.

• Oversee the daily operations of Rivian’s media and VIP fleet, including vehicle expenses, allocation and utilization.
• Manage relationships across the nation with external fleet partners and internal cross-functional stakeholders for an integrated approach across various verticals.
• Work closely and manage external fleet partners, including coordination of vehicle movement, aligning loan schedules, vehicle maintenance, software updates and more.
• Maintain vehicle service schedules to ensure that fleet is operating safely through close collaboration with
• Rivian service centers.
• Monitor and analyze fleet performance using measurement tools to assess the impact and utilization of various communications programs while optimizing operations.
• Establish structured approach for ongoing cadence of vehicle training and updates with internal and external teams.
• Collaborate with our internal Fleet, Product and Engineering leads to ensure an integrated approach to the media fleet process.

• 5-7 years of experience in a similar field.
• Strong product knowledge with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and information.
• Deeply passionate and optimistic about the automotive industry, media landscape and Rivian brand.
• Organizational expert with ability to track multiple vehicles, service and software schedules, external vendors, while being the go-to person for all media fleet operations. Adapts easily to fluctuation.
• Ability to drive a big-picture strategy while managing daily business needs of the media fleet.
• General understanding of the media landscape.
• Experience in cross functional, collaborative and fast-paced environments.
• Results driven mindset with a resilient ability to drive alignment in ambiguous situations.
• Has an entrepreneurial mindset and applies a scrappy and resourceful approach to everything. Solve problems and overcome challenges with creativity and ingenuity.
• Strong team-oriented mindset, able to spot opportunities for collaborative approaches.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 30% (as needed).

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $112,000 - $140,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range for New York Based Applicants: $121,000 - $152,000,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
