Role SummaryAs a Senior leader of the Product Management team, you will lead a team defining Rivian's consumer product pricing, optional equipment pricing, and volume planning. Your team will be responsible for generating pricing recommendations and managing long-term volume expectations globally. This team will lead global volume and pricing, while working with international teams to align the global product pricing and volume forecasts. You and your team will perform data-driven analyses and competitor pricing analyses to generate pricing and volume insights with the goal of maximizing our sales, while ensuring critical financial targets are met. You will primarily work with finance, sales and production demand planning, and the rest of the Product Management team.
Responsibilities- Product Pricing of vehicles, options, and volume planning.
- Own and manage Rivian's long-term annual volume and pricing forecasts globally.
- Develop Pricing Strategies:
- Analyze market dynamics, customer segments, and product positioning to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while ensuring competitiveness and value.
- Volume Planning:
- Forecast product demand and develop volume planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, production schedules, and supply chain efficiency.
- Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor competitor pricing strategies, market trends, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and product development teams to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives, product positioning, and go-to-market.
- Pricing Analytics:
- Utilize data-driven approaches to conduct pricing analysis, including price elasticity studies, profitability analysis, and scenario modeling to inform pricing decisions.
- Leadership Presentations:
- Coordinate review and approval of global pricing and volumes throughout commercial organization and the executive leadership team
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (10 years) in product pricing analysis, revenue management, or related roles, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in pricing analytics, financial modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment and driving collaborative decision-making processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, able to balance long-term strategic objectives with short-term tactical execution.
- Track record of establishing processes in a fast-moving organizations
- Ability to develop successful collaborative relationships across the organization
Pay DisclosureSalary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants : [ $149,000 - $212,800 ] (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
