As Data Analyst, you will work directly with business stakeholders in our factory to build well-loved analytics dashboards!
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities -
- Work directly with business stakeholders in our factory to build well-loved analytics dashboards (with Tableau, Snowflake) that help solve problems! This is a very collaborative & customer-facing role.
- Work cross-functionally to make design decisions that balance between custom and generic content (solving problems vs. scaling and aligning on standards)
- Listen closely to user requests and help surface gaps in our analytics data; help craft requirements for new data transformations and metrics that can improve Rivian manufacturing
- Contribute to our code-based data transformations (with SQL, dbt, Snowflake) to provide user-facing analytics tables
- Educate others on how to access our data and use self-serve analytics tools
Qualifications
Requirements -
- Exceptional communication, social, & executive functioning skills
- Collaborate excellently with a wide variety of partners
- Consistently demonstrate kindness, respect, and empathy.
- Excellent listening skills
- Can clearly distill & communicate complex technical topics in a non-technical manner so that technical topics are accessible by a wide audience ("explain like I'm five")
- At the same time, ability to code / write / diagram / document in precise & crisp detailed technical detail.
- Expertise with SQL
- Expertise building analytics dashboards that solve business problems in Tableau
- Expertise using version controlled workflows
- Proficiency with R or Python is a plus
- Eagerness to work closely with manufacturing engineering teams and develop domain knowledge about manufacturing processes
- Years of professional experience 5
- Prior experience leading a project is critical (being the primary responsible individual)
- Prior leadership (people management) experience is very beneficial but not critical
Educational requirement-
- Degree in engineering, math (statistics), or similar
