Resposibilities:
In this role as an Oracle Apps DBA, you will work with state-of-the-art relational database technologies and be part of a team of highly skilled IT Database professionals working on mission critical Oracle E-Business Suite applications and systems.
As an Oracle Apps DBA, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, support and maintenance of all functions of relational database systems. Duties may include management of design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance, ensuring strict data quality, and performing needs assessments. Analyzing current business practices, processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities. Manages relationships with software and hardware vendors to understand the potential architectural impact of different vendor strategies and data acquisition. You will be responsible for database access, device allocations, validation checks, organization, security, and documentation. In this role you will monitor overall standards and procedures and assist in integrating various systems. You will also consult with users, determine requirements, and recommend database establishment and utilization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Oracle E-Business Suite administration, installation, maintenance, and support
- Responsible for the design, implementation, support and maintenance of all functions of relational database systems
- Responsible for the following: database access, methods and time, device allocations, validations checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical methodology
- Monitor overall standards and procedures and assist in integrating various systems
- Consult with users, determine requirements, and recommend database establishment and utilization
- Provide database administration for mission-critical custom and packaged database software
- Design storage strategies around backup and recovery for complex database environments, physical structures, and specialized database applications / systems
- Uphold enterprise policy guidelines and recommend new / improved guidelines
- Partner with project teams and interact with customers to find solutions for projects and operational issues for existing and proposed databases
- Act as a liaison serving as primary point of contact between application business segments and database administrators
- Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform the basic database management skills of database administration, Web connectivity, physical structure, overall architecture, and database analysis
- Provide standardization and consistency across environments
- Ensure a stable and secure database environment
- Implement and monitor database functionality to ensure stable environments
- Identify and initiate resolutions to user problems and concerns associated with database server equipment (hardware and software)
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
- Serve as a key resource on complex and / or critical issues

Required Qualifications:
- Graduated degree
- Proficient experience with Oracle E-Business Suite administration, installation, maintenance and support
- 5 years of Oracle E-Business Suite Experience
- 5 years of Oracle database experience in a complex, enterprise environment
- Experience with OEM Grid Control, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Superclusters, Oracle Exalogic, and ZFS file systems
- 5 years of experience working with Application and / or System Database Administrators and development teams
- Unix / Linux experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health care industry experience
· Experience with Data Warehouses and / or Data Marts
