Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk provides a variety of administrative and clerical work for the accounting department. Work is often quantitative in nature.
Responsibilities Include:
- Under general supervision, performs a variety of detailed accounting duties in accordance with standard accounting procedures.
- Checks and verifies data for completeness and accuracy.
- Trade Vendor invoice and statement research and processing.
- Monthly review of accounts payable trade & non trade balances.
- Maintain Accounts Receivable customer invoicing and posting of payments.
- Document Management Entry of Payables.
- Cross Train for non-trade accounts payable invoicing as needed for employee absences/vacations.
- Daily Sales and Receipts review for tolerance from c-store locations.
- Daily reconciliation of fuel payment transactions.
- Weekly reconciliation of SBT (newspaper transactions).
- Monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Answering calls on switch board as needed.
- Any other accounting duties as assigned by the Controller.

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED required with a minimum of a two year associates degree preferred. A minimum of two years of previous relevant accounting experience required and basic expertise in Microsoft Excel or equivalent software.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current State Driver’s License
