Pay Rate: $32.85 per hour
Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the client’s business unit(s) with managing and coordinating various print jobs and demos across the client’s printing platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop an expertise of the assigned client printing platforms
- Printing platform examples are large format printers including latex and dye sublimation printers
- Prepare files for layout, including artwork, text, and images, for large format production
- Utilize graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Lift and load a roll of media and rigid substrates (40 lbs.) into the printer
- Execute the print/production and package signage jobs
- Organize and triage multiple print jobs against schedule and business needs
- Run low-volume, mid-volume and rigid printers, maintain equipment logs, and make adjustments as needed
- Produce “sales kits” for customers
- Support Product Architects with printing technology demos and customer samples
- Identify, propose, and implement business process/workflow improvements
- Occasionally work 40 hours in a week to meet certain team milestones
- Perform other duties as needed
Education and Credential Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Eligible to work in the US without RLA sponsorship for employment visa status
- Indigo L1 and L2 Certifications are recommended.
Experience Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in an technician/equipment operations role
- Run and maintain assigned products/equipment including managing equipment consumables inventory
- Provide demos to various stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on resolving equipment issues/defects
- Experience operating various consumer and industrial printing technologies using different consumables such as ink, toner, resins plus colorants, etc.
- Experience working with color profiles e.g., RGB, CMYK, and Pantones preferred
- Experience working with raster image processing (RIP) software such as Felix or Onyx or similar preferred
- Experience working with industrial cutters preferred
- Proficiency with computer software for job setup and digital file management.
- Experience learning and becoming an expert in the operations of various hardware accessories
- Experience communicating directly with customers and/or external partners
Skills Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Ability to Travel when necessary to customer locations. May require weeklong visits to customer locations
- High proficiency using productivity software such as M365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams and SharePoint)
- Ability to use agile/scrum project/program management principles and methodologies to consistently meet task deadlines, triage changing priorities, and track issues to resolution
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams with a customer service mindset
Work Environment
- The position typically operates in a standard office environment and/or from employee’s home
- Ability to lift and move heavy rolls of paper and other printing materials.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching to operate printing equipment.
- Be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
