Quality Control Inspector

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with written inspection procedures, drawings and in-process documents to perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts.
Completes first article inspections as well as receiving, in-process, final and packing inspections against customer requirements.
Performs inspection at various stages of production.
Ensures customer specifications and quality standards are met.
Completes necessary paperwork to fulfill customer and quality requirements (e.g. recording test data & recording quantities inspected).
Communicates non-conforming issues to management in timely basis in order to drive process changes and improve quality.
Will report directly to Quality Manager.

SKILLS / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent required plus 3 years of experience.
Prior Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge of AS9100 First Article creation and completion preferred.
Ability to read, understand and interpret prints/drawings and other technical documents that describe the system and processes.
Knowledgeable in the use of measuring instruments and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, thread gages, optical comparators, etc.
Knowledgeable in layout inspection techniques.
Possess strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
Demonstrates initiative and be able to work independently with limited supervision.
