Minimum four (4) years of design experience in the consulting engineering industry. Candidate will be responsible for technical performance as well as possess diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Must have the ability to apply techniques, modifications and theories and have the ability to make decisions independently while still utilizing guidance from other engineers and project managers. Mentoring less experience team members is also an important facet of this position. Essential Job Responsibilities
Design mechanical systems for commercial buildings (project size will vary based upon experience)
Has an interest in Project management, or ideally has done project management for smaller projects
Takes ownership of all aspects related to project
May have experience with putting together small proposals and presentations to clients
May have experience with for producing change orders in regards to out of scope work
Establishes and maintains relationships with clients for the firm
May have experience with resolving payment issues with clients
Coordinates with internal team members such as engineers, admins, drafters
Coordinates with external team members such as owners, architects, sub consultants
Participates and/or leads meetings with clients/owners
Skills
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and CAD, BlueBeam and REVIT software
Ability to communicate effectively
Work collaboratively with others
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university
Prefer a minimum of four (4) years building design experience in the MEP industry
Registration as a Professional Engineer would be ideal or may be in the process of studying for the PE

A salary range is anticipated to be $80,000 - $115,000 and is based upon multiple factors including level of experience, professional registrations and applicant knowledge, skills and abilities. Benefits include insurance benefits, paid holidays and time off as well as a company sponsored 401k.
