RNL is seeking creative talent to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are looking for a Designer (I) to provide design and production services to RNL higher education clients in enrollment and fundraising marketing.
The Designer (I) will work within established brands, and spread out across multiple channels including email, digital and print. Qualified candidates will be willing to learn new programs, processes and technology. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required in the RNL Designer (I) role:
Ability to handle multiple fast-paced projects while meeting deadlines
Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Baseline knowledge of pre-flighting files for print press production
Attention to detail in proofing campaigns for launch
Exceptional work ethic and dedication
Baseline knowledge of XHTML and CSS code language for email and form coding would be beneficial, but not required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produces various enrollment and fundraising materials (e-mails, web-based landing pages, letters, postcards, self-mailers, training packets, etc.) using the Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Communicates with creative services staff, client services staff, and printing vendors to implement requests and meet all project deadlines
Works in a team environment to improve division products and procedures
Coordinates multiple projects and effectively manages time
Excellent attention to detail
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Licenses/Certifications and Work Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, a related field, or a portfolio that demonstrates equivalent training or experience
Eye for design, typography, photography, and color
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Strong written and verbal communication skills for a variety of audiences
Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Knowledge of HTML/XHTML and CSS would be beneficial, but not required
Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Ability to take direction and receive constructive criticism aimed at achieving results that will best benefit the client and company
This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
This is largely a sedentary role; Infrequent light physical effort is required (minimum of five pounds)
Must be able to work in an environment where the noise level is moderate
Preferred:
At least one year professional experience or equivalent training is preferred
