Ro Health is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to help support Alameda County Public Health Department with critical needs due to the outbreak of COVID-19. They are currently in need of registered nurses to help assist with COVID Vaccines and Swabs throughout Alameda county. Public Health Nurses work as a team on promoting healthy communities and healthy behaviors to prevent the spread of communicable diseases and respond to these emergencies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD), California Dept of
- Public Health (CDPH) and Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)guidelines
- Coordinate and administer the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations to the public at points of distribution (PODs) around Alameda County
- Participate in necessary ACPHD meetings and trainings related to learning and educating the public on the COVID-19 vaccine
- Transport necessary medical equipment to PODs for assistance with administration
- Educate the public on COVID-19 policies and safety precautions
- Provide professional, ethical medical care to vaccine recipients and others
- Abide by all HIPAA requirements and privacy restrictions
- Assess and treat immediate allergic reactions from vaccine as needed
- Reinforces expectations and requirements
- Assess for red flags requiring CDPH involvement
- Other duties as needed or required.
Qualifications & Skills, REQUIRED:
- State-issued RN License
- Meet clinical competency requirements
- Basic Life Support CPR Certification
- Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
