JOB QUALIFICATIONS
The Operations Manager must drive financial growth and effectively monitor
operational efficiency of the entire facility.
A high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of relevant job experience are required.
Experience in office/business management is required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
A degree in Business Management or Administration is preferred.
Basic knowledge of computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel primarily) are required.
Strong interpersonal skills are required.
The Operations Manager must be able to drive financial growth while limiting expenses. The Operations Manager must have experience in developing and training managers in various positions throughout the business. The position requires standing and walking approximately 75% of the time throughout the shift and must be able to lift 10-25 pounds periodically. The Operations Manager must be available to work overtime, nights and weekends depending on issues that arise.
JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is responsible for all operational facets of the organization including the operational efficiency of the entire facility.
The Operations manager reports directly to the General Manager.
The Operations Manager manages 3 full time employees. These employees include: The Feld Operations Manager, Inside Operations Manager and North Torrance Maintenance (NTM) Manager.
The Operations Manager will work with the previously listed employees to generate goals and review the progress of such goals on a bimonthly basis.
The Operations Manager is responsible for the safety programs that are implemented at the facility.
The Operations Manager will monitor the progress of the Safety Committee and the procedures that are implemented.
JOB DUTIES
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Work between 40 – 50 hours per week.
- Prepare a yearly budget to be presented to the General Manager and go over each
aspect with the appropriate management staff. Ensure that the budget proposed is ontrack and make relevant adjustments when necessary in order to meet the budgetarygoal.
- Meet with owners on a regular basis to discuss policy implementation, financial and
facility status as well as any other item that is determined by the owners.
- Do a daily walk of the entire facility. Do a brief report on any issues that need
addressing. Meet with the General Manager on a weekly basis to discuss any issues.
- Responsible for operational and financial (MAP) goals to be determined by the General Manager.
- Ensure the Field Operations Manager, Inside Operations Manager and NTM Supervisor, are adhering to all other job responsibilities. Work with the General Manager to ensure that all their required goals are met and review the goals on a bi-monthly basis.
- Ensure that the safety of the facility is a priority and that all managers are reporting and fixing any unsafe situations. Ensure that all unsafe activities or situations are properly documented and resolved by the Safety Committee on a predetermined basis.
- Must be courteous to vendors, customers, employees as well as neighbors on a
consistent basis.
