Assistant Dining Room Manager

We have fantastic opportunity for a passionate Assistant Dining Room Manager to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will have managerial experience in dining services consumed by a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students, ensuring quality and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the dining area including cleanliness and aesthetics, meeting or exceeding dining experience and customer service expectations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
• Cooperate and communicate with other managerial staff to coordinate college-wide dining operations
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports about sales, staff performance, etc.
• Resolve customer complaints efficiently and with an attitude of service.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or similar relevant field
• Prior managerial experience in a fast-paced dining environment
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with restaurant management software
• Strong problem solving and decision making abilities, able to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Nice to Haves:

• Previous experience in a higher education institution
• Knowledge of different cuisines, dishes, preparation methods and service standards
• Experience with budget preparation and financial reporting
• Familiarity with innovative food and beverage industry trends
• Experience or familiarity with environmentally sustainable and health-conscious meal planning
