Smith Ironworks has an immediate opening for a local Structural Steel Project Manager, Must have 4 years of full-time verifiable project management experience in Steel fabrication Industry.
THIS IS NOT A CONTRACTOR POSITION.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Steel fabrication experience required.
- Must read drawings (structural, architectural, shop drawings)
- Highly Organized and able to excel at meeting schedules under pressure.
- Able to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Must be able to manage and advise Detailers regarding shop drawings.
- Order and maintain all material orders for projects – (Purchasing excluded)
- Writing & communicating regarding and project RFIs with General Contractors and Detailers
- Knowledge of Tekla applications.
- Work with General Contractor/ Customer to Schedule and manage project schedules
- Successfully managed the entire project from contract sign date to project closeout.
- Track inspection reports
- Develop and maintain customer relationships.
