Summary Description: Fast growing Property Management firm is looking for experienced QuickBooks superstar.

About us With over 45 years in real estate in the Sarasota Area, our firm has developed a commercial real estate property management division. We manage commercial, industrial, and residential properties of all sizes with the integrity and relationships that come with being family owned and operated for three generations. We are growing exponentially and looking for the right individual to add to the accounting department of our team.

About you The individual we are looking for has 3-5 years of experience operating in QuickBooks, has Property Management or Real Estate bookkeeping experience and is proficient in Microsoft office. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, and can operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with many moving parts and deadlines. If you are someone who can learn quickly, work independently, and enjoys working with an upbeat, positive team you might be our candidate!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain property management accounting system
  • Generate monthly rent, financial reports & quarterly dues invoices
  • Run quarterly financial reports monthly and/or as requested
  • Input transactions, journal entries, sales tax, etc.
  • Receive, record, and prepare tenant rent deposits
  • Create new companies with property management software and/or QB, QBO

· Complete month, quarter, and year-end closings

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Sales tax submissions to Dept. of Revenue
  • Year-end tax reports for Owners’ accountant

· Track and implement Tenant rent increases monthly

  • A/R and A/P
  • Monitor A/R aging
  • Follow up/collect late rents
  • Review all payables & process for payments

· Day-to-day accounting tasks

  • Email/phone correspondence with tenants, owners and association Board of directors
  • Assist with tenant/owner portal
  • Monitor bank accounts/insurance renewals

This position reports to the Senior Accountant

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
