Job description
Robert C. Parker School seeks a full-time assistant for our preK program.
The successful candidate will be warm, caring and will have some experience working with young children. The ideal candidate has an associate's degree or higher in an education field and/or experience working with young children in a school setting.
Our PreK assistant role includes assisting, instructing, and caring for young children. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are key parts of this role, as are being reliable and flexible. Assistants should be able to think creatively, make good decisions and communicate effectively with others. In addition to being independent in carrying out the role in the classroom, an assistant should also be skilled at taking direction and working as part of a team.
The assistant position will begin at 7:30 am five days a week to staff our before care program. The transition into the assistant role in the PreK classroom begins at 8:15am.

We use our 77-acre classroom of meadows, woods, streams and pond for learning in all seasons. There is an expectation of continuous growth and improvement for all faculty, and we support professional development both inside and outside the school.
