We currently have a vacancy for a permanent Senior Accountant with drive and experience at a growing Finance Consulting company in the Stamford Connecticut area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is located in Stamford, Connecticut within the Finance Consulting field.
How you will make an impact
- Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
- Engage in various department-wide initiatives
- Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
- Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
- Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
- Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Requirements
- Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
- Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
- Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
- Account reconciliation experience desired
- Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
- 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
- SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Efficient in ERP systems
Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
