What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at Robert Half?

Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join a dynamic non-profit organization. This position is part-time, and our client is providing 100% paid benefits once converted to a fulltime employee. As the Accounting Assistant you will provide daily support to the finance and accounting departments with bookkeeping and accounting tasks. Responsibilities include reconciling cash reciepts, drafting financial documents, invoicing customers, and collecting payments. If you have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, this is the Accounting Assistant opportunity for you!


What you get to do every day


- Help with administrative duties as they present themselves


- Reconcile financial books by working with incoming and outgoing funds


- Collaborate with clients via phone and email as necessary


- Design the bookkeeping processes of the company


- Analyze financial budgets and track expenses


- Perform day-to-day accounting duties including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll, payroll tax filings, booking journal entries, reconciling credit card and bank account


- Assist Accounting team in the creation and editing of financial documents



Requirements

- Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheet and reporting applications

- Prior bookkeeping experience preferred

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study preferred

- High attention to detail as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills
