Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting processes for the period and year-end cycles, ensuring all financial information is accurately and timely recorded following GAAP protocols. The role also involves preserving the framework's integrity and consolidating financial inputs.
- Lead the Fixed Asset Accounting Supervisor and their team, overseeing compliance with accounting policies and current guidelines. You will work alongside other accounting leaders for standardizing capital accounting policies, supporting the team in identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Developing staff, including supervisors, through feedback and educational opportunities. Aim to create future finance leaders by fostering an environment encouraging growth and development.
- Recommend financial accounting policies and procedures, ensuring all adhere to accepted standards and practices. You'll also coordinate changes with other finance functions, maintain financial data integrity, and regulate internal controls.
- Manage financial report preparation, including account reconciliation, balance sheet flux analysis, equity, and comprehensive income.
- Drive process improvement and change management within the team. Recommend system enhancements and process modification to optimize operational efficiency.
- Recruiting, training, and managing the General Accounting and Fixed Asset Accounting teams. You'll provide work direction, coaching, and lead cross-functional teams as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting is mandatory.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, with CPA and/or CMA credentials preferred.
- Should belong in the league of proven financial professionals known for strategic foresight.
- Able to lead change management efforts with an open-to-change mindset and project management capabilities.
- Proven ability to guide finance and other business partners.
- Proficient in assessing and enriching talent within the organization.
- Effective communication skills, able to engage a diverse audience of financial and non-financial managers.
- Excellent collaboration skills, able to execute a consultative, inclusive, and solutions-driven approach.
- Strong finance technical skills and an in-depth knowledge of GAAP necessary.
