Accounting Manager

Description

Robert Half is recruiting for a strong Accounting Manager Consultant for a privately held Manufacturing and Distribution client in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The Consultant must be a Quickbooks Desktop Premier functional super user who is adept in all modules and functionality of the QuickBooks system. The consultant will lead and drive the efficient use of the inventory costing module to ensure timely and accurate data is recorded including raw materials (quantity and price), labor and overhead allocations. The consultant will set up a work order system that will flow throughout the manufacturing process into the final finished goods costs. This role will be located onsite in Santa fe Springs, CA.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of inventory management, cost analysis, labor and materials tracking in QuickBooks
• Recording and tracking inventory movements and valuation
• Generating and analyzing cost estimates for various projects and products
  
  
  

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting.
• Proficiency in Cost-Basis and Cost-Job skills is required.
• Expected to have a strong understanding and ability to perform Cost Estimations and analyze Cost Variance.
• Experience in Costing and preparing Cost Estimates is essential.
• Skilled in Labor allocation and understanding Inventory Variance.
• Ability to analyze Variance is a key requirement.
• Must have a thorough understanding of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and experience with a software system implementation is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPA or MBA degree is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
