Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Specialist who can work in a fast-paced, onsite environment on a part-time, contract basis.Job Summary:The Accounting Specialist plays a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, processing invoices, ensuring proper journal entries, understanding debits and credits, and excelling in a fast-paced environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable Management:Handle the end-to-end process of accounts payable, including receiving, reviewing, and processing invoices.Ensure accurate coding of expenses and adherence to payment terms.Verify the completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation for payments.Accounts Receivable Management:Generate and send accurate and timely customer invoices.Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.Collaborate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and address inquiries.Invoice Processing:Efficiently process invoices, matching them to purchase orders and receipts.Confirm accurate recording of invoice details in the accounting system.Collaborate with vendors and customers to resolve billing discrepancies.Journal Entries:Record financial transactions by making journal entries in accordance with established accounting principles.Maintain a thorough understanding of debits and credits to ensure accurate entry of financial data.Financial Record Maintenance:Update and maintain organized financial records, ensuring documentation is easily accessible.Perform periodic reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.Deadline Adherence:Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities concurrently to meet strict deadlines.Prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of financial processes and reporting.Adaptability in a Fast-Paced Environment:Thrive in a fast-paced work environment, adapting to changes and managing workload fluctuations.Demonstrate flexibility in handling various financial tasks as required.Communication and Collaboration:Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers.Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless financial operations.Financial Reporting Support:Assist in the preparation of financial reports by providing accurate and well-documented information.Collaborate with the accounting team to contribute to the overall financial reporting process.Accuracy and Attention to Detail:Maintain a high level of accuracy in all financial transactions and reporting.Conduct thorough reviews of financial data to identify and correct any discrepancies.
