Become an integral part of a rapidly growing team at a company in the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk on a contract / temporary to hire basis. This long-term position is offered through Robert Half. Processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. Based out of the Kansas City, Missouri area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening.
Responsibilities
- Implement full-cycle A/P
- Carry out additional projects as required
- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
- Provide support to internal business partners
- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Credit Card Reconciliation experience required
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
- Concur experience preferred
- Proficiency in Expense Reporting
- 3 years of experience in an A/P role preferred
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
