Robert Half is partnering with a dynamic and growing manufacturing company who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team on an 8-week contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our team and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Process and review a high volume of vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to ensure proper documentation and authorization.Code and enter invoices into the accounting system with a high level of accuracy.Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding issues.Prepare and process weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring all payables are accurately recorded.Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues in a timely manner.Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and documentation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting requirements.Perform other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the finance manager.Qualifications:Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and principles.Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Ability to meet tight deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance.Duration and Compensation:This is an 8-week contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and company needs. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
