Robert Half is looking to fill a position for an Admin Clerk for a well-respected organization in the construction/contractor industry. In this position as an Admin Clerk, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), handling inbound and outbound calls, filing, etc. This innovative work environment offers you a great work space/office, excellent benefits, and great career advancement opportunity. This is a short-term contract / temporary to hire position based in the Fort Myers, Florida area.


Your responsibilities


- Upload financial information to journals and ledgers


- Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing


- Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources


- Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes


- Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance


- Square up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required


- Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

- Outstanding data entry skills


- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical


- Billing experience


- Comprehensive knowledge of Answering Inbound Calls


- Administrative Assistance experience required


- Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system


- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
