Analyst

Description

We are seeking an Analyst for our team in Auburn, Massachusetts. This role is in the financial industry and primarily revolves around understanding and interpreting financial information and analysis, including actuals, plans, and forecasts. The Analyst will also take a lead role in Sales reporting, planning, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting financial information, including daily, weekly, and monthly actuals, plans, and forecasts in support of business management and decision-making.
• Conducting variance analysis to understand financial results.
• Preparing and updating forecast files for future financial planning.
• Leading sales reporting and conducting subsequent analysis to drive business decisions.
• Assisting with the monthly closing process, preparation of financial reports, and journal entries.
• Maintaining the General Ledger and ensuring its accuracy.
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data.
• Participating in budget processes to ensure financial efficiency.
• Applying analytics skills to interpret financial data and trends.
• Conducting financial analysis to understand and forecast company's financial standing.
  
  

Requirements

• Position requires a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
• Familiarity with budget processes is necessary
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct thorough analysis
• Experience in analytics is preferred
• A good understanding of financial analysis is required
• Forecasting skills are expected
• Prior experience with month-end close procedures is preferred
• Ability to prepare and analyze monthly statements is needed
• Candidates should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential
• A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
