Are you an enterprising, strong Asset Manager looking for an immediate position? Robert Half is searching for a skilled, eager, and experienced candidate like you to join the expanding team of a progressive company. The Asset Manager candidate will play a key role in the oversight and performance of client's properties that are heading to construction, under renovation, and/or going through lease-up. The Asset Manager's main role is to work closely with the Property Management team to make sure that the property is performing as projected prior to perm conversion. The Asset Manager will play a key role during the budget and year-end season to make sure that both – properties’ budgets and year-end related items – are delivery on- time to the respective stakeholders by the 3rd party management companies.
Your responsibilities in this role
- Lead the overall property budget process, temporary tenant relocation, including capital repair projects, and play a key role during the year-end process with auditors, management companies
- Responsible to track monthly financial performance, lease-ups, tax credit file progress, and identify any potential issues that may adversely impact property operations
- Make Property Management Companies accountable to meet key metrics such as rent collection and occupancy rates, security, operating expenses trends, cash-AP analysis, and maximizing NOI
- Review and understand financial reports, including operating agreements and closing binder, to proactively identify issues and trends, and update stakeholders accordingly

Requirements
The ideal Asset Manager candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
Other requirements for the Asset Manager position include and are not limited to:
- 5 years of commensurate experience in affordable housing asset management
- Financial analysis and property management experience preferred.
- Eager to take over challenges, turn-around underperforming assets, and take-ownership of assets and teams
- Experience working with HUD, LIHTC S42 rules, REAC/OCAF, audits, and leading budget process
- Team oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills
- Hands-on asset management approach with solid problem-solving skills
Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
