How you will make an impact
- Support the closing process to see to it that deadlines are met
- Distinguish and evolve process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
- Innovative preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
- Work on other requests when required
- Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
- Uphold implementation and warrant adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Construct relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like actual spend against budgets/outlook, the monthly flash report, and key financial metrics
- Backfill for Controller if necessary
- Drive accountability and the meeting of deliverables
- Consider and form Ad Hoc financial reports
- Advance to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, goal setting, and regular assessment
- Warrant regular account reconciliation to completion
- Be instrumental in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- CPA an added bonus
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
- 3 years of general ledger accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Proficient in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
- General ledger experience
- Experience with Monthly Financial Statements
- Month-end Journal Entries experience
- Month-end Close Activities experience
- Proven knowledge of fixed assets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
