Robert Half is searching for an Audit Manager to join the team of our Renton- based client. This role is responsible for managing the monthly consolidation and reporting processes; serving as a technical accounting (GAAP) resource to Finance customers; operational leadership of the various financial statement audits, under the oversight of Director Financial Reporting. Participate in developing and implementing standard accounting policies and procedures, as well as monitoring compliance with standard accounting policies and procedures. Providing special project support to other finance initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Produce monthly consolidated, regional, and ministry financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of reporting to Executives. These consolidated financials are used throughout the System, including for Board of Directors, Finance Committee materials, rating agency presentations, external audits, and others.
- Researches accounting and regulatory issues as necessary; raises key issues senior leadership. Prepare management documentation of all material transactions. Transactions include mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, dispositions, joint ventures, and others.
- Propose and develop policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of workflow and information as it relates to regulatory reporting and system financial statement consolidations.
- Drive successful execution of various annual financial audits as primary lead, under oversight by Director Financial Reporting. Includes leading the audits, planning and executing fieldwork, and drafting and issuance of approximately 35 separate financial statements.
- Manage the use of the financial reporting system (HFM) and databases for operational and financial reporting consolidation and eliminations.
- Maintain central repository for policy and procedure documentation and assist others in interpretation and implementation of approved policies and procedures. Support development and revision of standard accounting policies and procedures as needed; develop procedures for implementing the approved standards.
- Perform periodic reviews of application of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the standards; review policy application and identify areas of risk to the organization; work with leadership to establish mitigation plans and action strategies where compliance issues are found.
- Complete special projects designed to improve the financial performance, including support of other finance functions (such as financial planning, operational finance, general ledger, reimbursement) and participating as the finance representative for other functional areas.

Salary : $110,000 - $160,000
