Robert Half's, Akron client, is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team and manage the Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Union Payroll duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and procedures, and assisting in month-end and year-end financial close processes. The ideal candidate should have a background in the construction industry and knowledge of Foundation software is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Receivable processes, including generating and sending customer invoices, following up on payments, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions
- Process and reconcile Union Payroll on a weekly basis
- Maintain General Ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing and payment inquiries
- Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, with a focus on Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Union Payroll

- Strong organizational and time-management skills
