Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join a fast-growing company. As the Accounting Assistant you will provide daily support to the finance and accounting departments with bookkeeping and accounting tasks. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for payroll, reconciling bank records, drafting financial documents, invoicing customers, and collecting payments. Prevailing wage knowledge is a plus. Key responsibilities
- Design the bookkeeping processes of the company
- Settle financial books including incoming and outgoing funds
- Perform administrative duties as necessary
- Evaluate financial budgets and track expenses
- Assist Accounting team in the creation and editing of financial documents
- Engage with clients as necessary via email and phone
- Handle day-to-day accounting duties including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll, payroll tax filings, booking journal entries, reconciling credit card and bank account
Requirements
- Bookkeeping experience preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheet applications
- High attention to detail as well as problem-solving and critical thinking skills are a must
- 5 years of experience working in accounting
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and time management
