Job Summary: As a Full Charge Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer proficient in Drake and QuickBooks software, you will manage all financial aspects of our clients' businesses, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with tax regulations. This part-time position requires 30 hours per week and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients.
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping:
- Utilize QuickBooks software to maintain complete and accurate financial records for clients.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions regularly.
- Generate financial reports using QuickBooks for client review.
- Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll for clients using QuickBooks, ensuring accurate calculations and timely payments.
- Handle payroll tax filings and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain employee payroll records and address payroll-related inquiries.
- Tax Preparation:
- Utilize Drake software to prepare and file individual and business tax returns accurately and on time.
- Identify tax deductions and credits to minimize clients' tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws.
- Stay updated on changes to tax regulations and communicate relevant updates to clients.
- Provide tax planning guidance to clients to optimize their financial strategies.
