Job Title: Business Analyst - Insurance Industry

Location: Providence, RI (In-Office 2 days/week, non-negotiable)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the Insurance Industry to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills, understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and comprehensive knowledge of insurance industry practices and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as a liaison between our technology team and end-users or business professionals, ensuring clear communication and coordination of information.

2. Analyze, interpret, and document the business requirements and processes effectively and efficiently.

3. Develop and maintain in-depth insurance industry and product knowledge, keeping abreast of changes and developments in the field.

4. Perform gap analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement or management changes.

5. Relate application capabilities to the business requirements to determine feasibility and negotiate solutions.

6. Assist in the testing of new systems and changes to existing systems in conjunction with other IT team members.

7. Participate in troubleshooting, escalating and resolving system process issues.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Insurance, or related experience.

2. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Insurance Industry.

3. Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

4. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

5. Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management software.

7. Strong team player but also able to work independently.

8. Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects.
