We are seeking an interim CFO to join our team in Frisco, Texas. This role involves taking responsibility for the financial operations of a company in the manufacturing and distribution industry. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity and requires immediate effectiveness from the candidate.
Responsibilities
- Taking charge of the financial health of the company by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements
- Developing strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the company
- Liaising with the Board of Directors (BOD) and Public Relations (PR) firm
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP Accounting and US GAAP standards
- Conducting preparation and review of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Overseeing end of month duties and managing the annual financial reporting process
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with Financial Reporting Standards
- Managing internal financial reporting and monthly financial reporting to stakeholders
- Having a strong understanding of management needs and an ability to create and implement strategies to meet these needs.
- Must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position
- Proficient in GAAP Accounting and US GAAP
- Proven experience in Month End Close procedures
- Extensive knowledge in Annual Financial Reporting
- Competence in Financial Reporting and Financial reporting standards
- Demonstrated ability in Internal Financial Reporting
- Expertise in Monthly Financial Reporting
- Strong leadership skills and experience in management
- Excellent communication, strategic planning, and organizational skills
- Must hold a relevant degree in Finance, Business, or related field, MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or similar is desirable
- Proven track record of financial process improvement
- Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative in decision-making
- Knowledge of financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
- Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to strategize and solve problems
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
