There is a great opportunity for candidates with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format, as Robert Half's new Desktop Support Technician. Located in the Albany, New York, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is long-term contract / contract / temporary in nature.
Responsibilities
- Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Provide computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
- hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
- Solve computer problems, and implement appropriate action/solutions
- Preserve, inspect, and mend computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
Requirements
- Desktop support or related experience
- Experience with Principles
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Prior experience with A Plus
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience working with Deskside Support
- Earlier work involving Microsoft Access
- Hands-on experience with evidence
- General familiarity with Workstation Support
- Background working with correspondence
- Practical knowledge of internet
- SharePoint Administration experience desired
- Financial System experience highly desired
- Good understanding of Communication Skills
- Overtime experience preferred
- Training experience preferred
- Microsoft Word experience
- Windows OS experience highly valued
- Answering Inbound Calls experience
- Knowledge Base experience required
- Adeptness in Email Correspondence
- Phone Presenc experience highly preferred
- Foundational knowledge in Production Environment
- Strong familiarity with Servicenow Application
- Comprehension of Computer Sciences
- Procedures experience
- Experience writing procedure manuals, user instructions, business correspondence, and general report writing
