ControllerGreater Greenfield, Massachusetts areaThe Controller will be responsible for managing two direct reports, overseeing and managing financial aspects related to the plant's operations, with a primary focus on supply chain management and standard costing. Responsibilities:Supply Chain Management:Develop and maintain supply chain metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and identify areas for improvement.Analyze demand forecasts and production schedules to ensure the availability of raw materials and finished goods.Monitor and manage supply chain costs, including transportation, warehousing, and packaging expenses.Implement best practices for supply chain efficiency and risk mitigation.Work closely with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and improve supply chain relationships.Standard Costing:Establish and maintain standard costing systems for all products, ensuring accurate and up-to-date cost data.Conduct regular cost variance analysis and identify areas of cost improvement.Collaborate with the manufacturing team to understand and analyze production processes, cost drivers, and efficiencies.Update standard costs as needed to reflect changes in materials, labor, and overhead expenses.Prepare and present financial reports related to standard costing to management and stakeholders.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Financial Analysis:Oversee budgeting and forecasting for the plant.Provide financial analysis and insights to support plant operations and decision-making.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes related to supply chain and standard costing.Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with cross-functional teams to implement cost reduction initiatives.Compliance and Reporting:Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.Collaborate with the corporate finance team to consolidate financial information.Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial reports to the corporate office and external stakeholders.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA a plus).Proven experience as a Controller within a manufacturing or production environment.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
