An Addison area corporation is looking to add a Corporate Paralegal with litigation, licensing, and corporate governance experience to their growing legal team. The position involves working in a fast paced, team oriented and legal department. Additional duties of this position include drafting corporate documents, and assisting with corporate formations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative legal team.
Major responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and filing of licensing applications and renewals, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Conduct research and analysis of litigation, and provide recommendations to legal counsel.
- Maintain and update corporate records, including bylaws, resolutions, and minutes of meetings.
- Support in-house counsel in drafting and reviewing corporate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate documents, such as annual reports and state filings.
- Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and ensure that the company remains in compliance.
- Coordinate with external counsel as needed for specific legal matters.
- Assist in the management of legal projects, including tracking deadlines and tasks.
