Key responsibilities
- Generate and complete internal cost audits
- Determine any changes in cost by analyzing any changes in services or goods provided
- Approximate costs for new and proposed products- Recommend costs and cost savings based on analysis
- Carry out variance analysis such as Purchase Price to Cost variance, cost revaluation, Invoice to PO price variances and work order variances
- Manage the implementation of a standard costing methodology for domestic plants
- Collect data and plan projects to decide costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor usage, waste
- Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization
- Take physical inventory and review the cycle count program
- Generate reports for management that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services
- Generate reports comparing production costs to standard costs and analyze manufacturing costs
- Assist in audits and general ledger preparation
- Follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
- Analyze the data collected and log a detailed record of the results
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 3 years of accounting experience
- 2 years in Microsoft Dynamics
- Knowledge of organizational accounting concepts
- Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
- Experience utilizing cost management methodologies, activities, and cost pools based on direct and indirect cost rates
- Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
