Robert Half is currently working with a client int he Madison area that is seeking an up-and-coming Cost Accountant. The Cost Accountant is a critical role responsible for the ongoing analysis of product cost, development of new product cost and margin analysis. This role will also establish customer pricing by working closely with the sales teams and senior financial management team. Major responsibilities
- Make calculations of new and proposed product costs
- Take physical inventory and review the cycle count program
- Collect data and plan projects to decide costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor usage, waste
- Recommend costs and cost savings based on analysis
- Update standard costs in the bill of materials
- Validate the cost of goods sold as part of month end close
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
- 3 years of Accounting experience; preferably in a Manufacuring setting
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Salary : $55,000 - $80,000
