We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. The IT Cybersecurity Specialist will play a crucial role in protecting our organization's information systems and data from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect the organization's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats, including malware, ransomware, phishing, and other malicious activities.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the organization's IT infrastructure, applications, and processes.
Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Monitor security logs and alerts generated by security monitoring tools, investigating and responding to security incidents in a timely manner.
Configure and manage security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
Conduct security awareness training and education programs for end-users to promote cybersecurity best practices and reduce the risk of human error.
Collaborate with other members of the IT team to design and implement secure network architectures, encryption protocols, and access controls.
Participate in incident response and forensic investigations, documenting findings and recommendations for remediation and improvement.
Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors, participating in professional development activities and training to maintain expertise in cybersecurity.
Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff and end-users on cybersecurity-related matters, assisting with incident response, risk assessments, and security compliance efforts.

Requirements

Proven experience as a cybersecurity specialist, cybersecurity analyst, or similar role, with a strong background in information security and risk management.
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices, including secure network architecture, encryption, authentication, and access control.
Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, SIEM solutions, and vulnerability management tools.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security , or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) are desirable but not required.
