What you get to do every single day
- Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance
- Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Evaluate and sustain forecasting and budgeting models
- Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention
- Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers
- Supervise financial planning and budget management functions
- Direct all financial reporting preparation
- Analyze monthly operating performance against budget
- Direct risk and insurance management
- Ensure adherence to budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal
- Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
- Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
- Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts
- Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Requirements
- High analytical and extremely detailed
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- CPA is required
- Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- 10 years of accounting and finance experience
- Big 4 / Large public accounting firm audit experience strongly preferred
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
