A Public-School which missing is to serve the low-income community is looking for a Director of Finance to join their team. As part of the management team, the Director of Finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. Your responsibilities- Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions- Oversee all hiring aspects of finance staff, including training and retention- Aid in developing department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures- Supervise all financial reporting preparation- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions- Evaluate and sustain forecasting and budgeting models- Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts- Ensure adherence to budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal- Compare monthly operating results against budget- Take ownership of insurance and risk management- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives- Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance- Collaborate with department managers to develop five-year business plans- Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
