Director- Telecom

Description

We are in search of an experienced IT Director to oversee our network and telecommunication services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of our IT network and telecom infrastructure. This role involves managing data center network maintenance operations, leading network, and telecom services teams, and providing expert technical guidance.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the security, performance, and reliability of the IT network and telecom infrastructure

Manage all Data Center network maintenance operations

Lead the network and telecom services teams, including responsibilities such as recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions

Work closely with decision makers in other departments, as well as the IT department, to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and network and telecom service delivery is excellent

Develop annual budgets, meet financial budget goals, authorize purchase requisitions, and track purchases to budget

Prioritize and assign tasks to Network and Telecom staff, ensuring they are completed within required timeframes according to established schedules and priorities

Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT Network and Telecom teams

Perform vendor management and review IT procurement contracts

Participate in the development of IT strategies in relation to network and telecom services

Ensure staff has the knowledge, tools, and skills necessary to perform their job requirements

Skills:

Experience with Cisco Voice Over Internet (VoIP)

Knowledge of VOIP - Voice Over IP

Familiarity with Telephony System

Requirements

Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT leadership role, preferably as an IT Director.

Demonstrated expertise in Cisco Voice Over Internet (VoIP).

Proficiency in VOIP - Voice Over IP is necessary.

Profound knowledge and experience in managing Telephony Systems.

Proven history of developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.

Capable of conducting regular system audits and software performance tuning.

Strong project management and team leadership skills.

Ability to keep up with advancements in the field of IT and integrate them into the organization's framework.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical abilities and communication skills.

Ability to manage and coordinate the work of IT professionals, technicians, and other team members.

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

Relevant IT certifications would be considered an advantage.

Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of IT projects.

Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.

Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.

Proven negotiations and vendor relationship management skills.
