Your responsibilities in this role
- Team up with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
- Maintain annual budgeting process
- Survey and query an extensive amounts of data
- Review confirmed results at the corporate and division levels
- Secure and examine budgets and income statement forecasts
- Participate in monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
- At times, spell out perplexing financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects
- Implement productive alternatives and solutions to reduce costs and enhance financial performance of a company
- Play a part in the groundwork of monthly financial reporting and other business data
- Participate in ensuring adequate controls and procedures
- Accommodate a number of aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)
