Description
We are in the search for a Firmware Admin to join our team based in Denver, Colorado. This role primarily involves the configuration, management, and support of firewall systems. The successful candidate will be tasked with a range of duties, from deployment and acquisition projects to firewall lifecycle operations and support. This job offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Lead network-related projects for the improvement of infrastructure and support of business objectives
Coordinate and perform regular firewall updates
Monitor network and firewall performance to ensure system availability and reliability
Support all company operations related to firewalls, including troubleshooting, networking changes, and break/fix scenarios
Design and deploy network security architecture and firewalls for new acquisitions
Define and maintain firewall policies
Document changes to policies and network security configurations
Work closely with compliance specialists to ensure electronic access control alignment with industry compliance standards
Provide network security, incident response, firewall, and VPN management and administration
Maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Requirements
Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Firmware Admin role or similar position
Demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in Computer Hardware
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve firmware-related issues efficiently
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in firmware administration
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
