As a Forecast Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing historical data, market trends, and consumer patterns to generate accurate forecasts for product demand. Responsibilities:
- Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts for various products within the consumer goods industry.
- Analyze and interpret forecast results to identify potential risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to gather relevant information and align on forecast assumptions.
- Develop and maintain forecast models using advanced statistical techniques and tools, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Monitor and evaluate forecast performance by comparing actual sales data with forecasted figures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Provide regular reports and updates on forecast accuracy, key performance indicators, and market trends to support business planning and decision-making processes.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and consumer behavior to identify factors influencing demand patterns.
- Proactively identify and communicate potential supply chain risks or disruptions based on demand forecasts, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in demand forecasting to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience working as a Forecast Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the consumer goods industry.
- Proficient in utilizing Power BI for data visualization and analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions, formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in forecasting and reporting.
- Solid understanding of statistical forecasting methods and techniques.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and effectively influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with consumer goods industry trends, market dynamics, and supply chain management principles is highly desirable.
