Robert Half has partnered with a privately-held and well-established but growing business in their search of a Full Charge Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager. This position will work closely with the CFO and report directly to the President of the business.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager position is responsible for overseeing cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. *This position will be located at our clients office full-time, 5 days per week in the office (not hybrid and not remote). *
Desired Experience:
-10 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience
-Strong QuickBooks experience
-Comfortable in a smaller office environment being fully hands on with everything from an accounting perspective
- Skilled in credit card management and reconciliation
-Ability to perform all tasks required under minimal supervision
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversees record keeping function for cash receipts and disbursements and reviews bank reconciliations
- Accounts payable, including recording of invoices due, check preparation and check disbursement
- Accounts receivable, including tracking, follow up and collections
- Prepares journal entries, account analyses, reconciliations and internal reporting
- Monitors, reviews and reconciles specific general ledger accounts
- Prepare weekly payroll
- Monthly, quarterly and/or annual payroll tax reporting
- Responsible for paying quarterly estimated taxes
- Preparing, tracking and following up on contracts

Requirements
Full Charge Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager

- Account reconciliation experience
- Proven knowledge of bank reconciliations
- Solid understanding of Full Charge Bookkeeping
- Command of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
- General familiarity with QuickBooks
- Foundational knowledge in Prepare Journal Entries
- Well-founded grasp of Process Payroll
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
- Considerable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
