We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Grant Writer to join our organization. As a Grant Writer, you will play a pivotal role in securing funding for our education programs and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various grant opportunities, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to bring projects to fruition. This role is 100% onsite and will involve close collaboration with the leadership team, particularly the Chief Development Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Proposal Development: Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to secure funding from federal, state, and private grant opportunities.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments within the organization to gather information, data, and project details necessary for grant applications. Collaborate with program managers, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive proposals.
- Grant Opportunity Identification: Continuously monitor and stay informed about available grant opportunities, ensuring the organization is aware of all potential funding sources that align with our mission and programs.
- Education Program Focus: Place a special emphasis on securing funding for our education program, which serves approximately 7,000 students annually. Develop grant proposals that highlight the impact of the program on the community and the organization's mission.
- Leadership Team Collaboration: Partner with the Chief Development Officer and other members of the leadership team to develop and execute a comprehensive grant strategy. Provide updates on grant progress and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Writing Expertise: Utilize your writing expertise to craft clear, concise, and persuasive grant applications. Tailor proposals to meet the specific requirements and guidelines of each funding opportunity.
